Since modern times, people have created in pursuit of wealth. Those creations were gathered to form cities. They were a collection of people's sincere hopes. They used to believe that cities would last forever.
But now I know. I know that, instantly, so easily, a city ceases to exist due to the great force of nature which in fact had always been by its side.
The world of "HIGAN = people's long-held dreams" always has the potential to easily become the world of "HIGAN = the opposite shore (metaphorically meaning The Other World)". Perhaps the great waters beside us not only divide geographical areas, but also serve as the border between the two "HIGAN" worlds.
*The words "HIGAN=people's long-held dreams" and "HIGAN=the opposite shore" have identical forms in Japanese hiragana.
